If Jesus has been raised, then we too have hope for a future resurrection. If Jesus has not been raised, then there is no hope.

The unfortunate interpretation by some is that the writer of Hebrews is speaking in the present tense and thus admitting that the old covenant is ‘growing old,’ but is still alive at the writing of the book of Hebrews and has not yet vanished away. Is this accurate?
While the work of Jesus is finished, the work of the church is far from over.
It is important that we remember the message of the cross. In all of our explorations of the ‘manifold grace of God,’ we should never lose sight of the message that sets men free and releases them from the grip of death.
