Does Your Life Hang in Doubt?
So many precious believers continue to live lives of frustration, fear and worry. They have failed to renew their minds to the Word of God. They have allowed strongholds of unbelief, fear and inferiority to dominate them. Their words are words of death and not life. Though they have been spiritually delivered from the power of darkness and placed in the Kingdom of God, they continue to live in the darkness and submit to it. ‘My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.’ (Hosea 4:6)
Such a life was promised to Israel if they chose to not listen to God and walk in His ways:
“Your life shall hang in doubt before you; you shall fear day and night, and have no assurance of life. In the morning you shall say, 'Oh, that it were evening!' And at evening you shall say, 'Oh, that it were morning!' because of the fear which terrifies your heart, and because of the sight which your eyes see.” (Deut. 28:66-77)
How tragic! And sadly, this verse describes many who are living under the covenant of grace, the better covenant established on better promises!
If your life resembles Deut. 28:66, more than it resembles the life of an overcomer, then it is time to make a change! Take every thought captive (2 Cor. 10:5), renew your mind to the good, acceptable and perfect will of God for your life (Rom. 12:2), look to the unseen things that are eternal (2 Cor. 4:18) and speak the Word of God over your life (2 Cor. 4:13). Stir yourself up! Activate the grace of God in your life, discover your divine purpose and cast off the limitations that you may have allowed in your life.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9)
