How often have we felt under resourced, out of energy, lacking in talent and with nothing left to give? The truth is that those ‘feelings’ represent our flesh and natural thinking, not our spirit man. If we could only learn to live in the Spirit and from our re-created spirits, we would see that the resources of heaven are limitless. Not only that, as we give what we have received, what we give is restored and multiplied!
“While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (2 Cor. 4:18)
We tend to evaluate everything with our natural eyes and limited knowledge. We make decisions based upon our logic. We walk in world of limitations.
The challenge lies in considering what we don’t have rather than what we have. The disciples were guilty of this when they informed Jesus that they didn’t have enough to feed the thousands who were following Him. They were fixated on what they didn’t have, but Jesus asked them what they did have! Five loaves and two fishes were enough! He was using His spiritual eyes to see more than enough. We can do that too!
If God’s resources are free and limitless, then there is enough for you and me…..and more than enough! We can freely give because we have freely received! See yourself abounding and overflowing with the resources of heaven, the gifts of the Spirit and the grace and love to lift people up. There is more where that came from.
Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you. (Luke 6:38)
