We all begin at different places in life. None of us got to choose where we were born or into what kind of family we were born. None of us got to choose our socioeconomic environment, the educational system we were thrust into or the opportunities that we may have had early in life. For many it could seem that life is not fair.
In spite of the varied circumstances that surround our childhoods, God has established an even playing field in the Kingdom. Not everyone takes advantage of God’s provision, but all may. Regardless of our beginnings in this world, we all have access to God’s grace by faith. Faith is the great equalizer among men.
“According to your faith be it unto you.” (Mt. 9:29)
Faith does not depend upon background, education, social status, gender, race or even the mistakes we have made in life. Faith transcends the visible world and opens to the believer the exceeding abundant provision of the world of the Spirit.
“Now faith is …. the evidence of things not seen.” (Heb. 11:1)
Faith is conceived by hearing God’s Word in your spirit (Rom. 10:17). ANYONE can hear God. The God kind of faith can be born in the heart of the weak and the mighty. Faith does not depend upon our circumstances; it depends upon a heart that is listening to God.
In Jesus’ day, it was the most desperate and those living on the margins of society that were able to receive from Him because of their faith. Jesus did not question them about why they were suffering, what mistakes or sins they had committed, or if they were worthy of His grace in their lives. He simply responded to their faith. God always responds to faith regardless of the history of the one who believes! Faith is the equalizer in the Kingdom.
Don’t let your past rob you of God’s future for you. Believe His Word and allow Him to lift you up. Faith will take you into the very presence of God, promote you, provide for you, heal you, protect you and give you His abundant life.
“All things are possible to him who believes.” (Mk. 9:23)
